Students must have a minimum knowledge about analog games and video games genre and vocabulary.

The course is focused on:
- Defining, identifying and learning about layout, logic, concept and gameplay of a game
- Identifying game design principles
- Acquiring necessary knowledge for understanding game as a coherent system
- Having a rich background and expertise of analog games and video game references
- Learning by playing
- Designing and prototyping a tabletop game
- Formulate game rules
- Game improvements by testing
