🧠 Course Objectives
The course is focused on:
Characters(1st semester):
- Defining, identifying and analyzing the principles of 3D character design and production. Designing an original 3D, game-ready, biped character.
- Defining the importance of character bio, backstory and research for character design
- Analyzing the stages of the character design pipeline
- Learning the essential 3D modeling, skeleton building, retopology, skinning, rigging, texturing and animation concepts and common practices
- Defining and analyzing the export/import pipeline of a game ready character asset
Environment (2nd semester):
- Defining, identifying, and analyzing the principles of 3D game environment design and production. Designing an original 3D, game-ready, game environments.
- Defining the importance of game environment backstory and research for game environment design
- Analyzing the stages of the game environment and level design pipeline
- Learning the essential 3D modeling, retopology, skinning, rigging, texturing and animation concepts and common practices
- Defining and analyzing the export/import pipeline of a game ready game environment asset
